Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 3 oz. box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 9 oz. container Cool Whip topping
  • 1 15 oz. can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • maraschino cherries

Instructions

  1. Grease a 15 1/2 by 10 1/2 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the yellow cake mix and bake according to package directions for 15 minutes; then cool.
  3. In a bowl, mix the instant vanilla pudding with milk as directed, then stir in the softened cream cheese.
  4. Spread the pudding mixture over the cooled cake.
  5. Spread whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  6. Evenly sprinkle crushed pineapple over the whipped topping.
  7. Sprinkle coconut evenly over the pineapple.
  8. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the coconut.
  9. Top with maraschino cherries.
  10. Chill the cake for 4 hours before serving.
