A sweet and tangy pineapple slice dressing with a hint of cheese, perfect for fruit salads or as a topping for desserts and cold dishes.

Ingredients

  • juice from 1 large can sliced pineapple
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour and sugar together.
  2. Add the well-beaten egg to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  3. Combine this mixture with the pineapple juice and mix thoroughly.
  4. Cook in a double boiler until the mixture becomes clear.
  5. Add butter to the mixture and stir until melted.
  6. Pour the hot dressing over sliced pineapple and top with grated cheese.
