Pineapple Slices
Sweet pineapple slices encased in a tender yeast dough, filled with luscious crushed pineapple and a hint of pineapple juice, perfect for a tropical-inspired dessert or brunch.

Instructions
- Dissolve sugar and yeast in lukewarm milk; set aside.
- Sift flour and measure it.
- Add shortening as in pie crust; mix well.
- Add the cooled milk and beaten egg yolks to the flour mixture and mix into a dough.
- Divide the dough into two parts and roll each to fit a 12 x 14-inch pan.
- Spread the pineapple filling on the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour.
- Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
