Ingredients

  • 1 chicken (3 to 5 lb.)
  • 6 to 10 garlic cloves
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Clean chicken thoroughly with lemon or salt.
  2. Rinse chicken well and place all ingredients into a casserole dish.
  3. Mix and marinate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Taste the mixture to adjust seasonings if needed.
  5. Simmer the mixture, but do not mix, for 20 to 25 minutes.
  6. Mix well so the juices are evenly distributed.
  7. Lower the fire and cook for another 10 minutes.
  8. Serve when ready.
