Ingredients

  • 18 oz. yellow cake mix
  • 3.5 oz. instant pistachio pudding
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F if using Pyrex).
  2. Combine cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, eggs, oil, and water; beat well until smooth.
  3. In a small bowl, toss together cinnamon and chopped walnuts.
  4. Divide the batter between two greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pans.
  5. Alternate layers of batter with sugar-nut mixture, ending with a sugar layer on top.
  6. Bake for 1 hour or until loaves test done. For electric ovens, bake 45 to 50 minutes.
