Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pepperoni

Instructions

  1. In a mixer bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of flour, dry yeast, dried oregano, and garlic powder.
  2. In a saucepan, heat water, margarine, sugar, and salt just until warm, stirring to melt margarine.
  3. Add the warm liquid mixture to the dry ingredients in the bowl.
  4. Beat for 3 minutes at high speed.
  5. By hand, stir in finely chopped pepperoni and enough remaining flour to make a moderately soft dough.
  6. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk, about 45 to 60 minutes.
  7. Stir the dough down.
  8. Spread evenly in a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  9. Let rise for 30 minutes more.
  10. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35 to 40 minutes.
