Ingredients

  • 1 large jar spaghetti sauce
  • 12 oz mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large can mushroom bits
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 loaf French bread

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in a pan, then drain off the fat.
  2. Mix spaghetti sauce, mozzarella cheese, and mushroom bits with the cooked ground beef, then heat on low until the cheese has melted, stirring often.
  3. Unwrap the French bread, cut it into 4 parts, then cut each part sideways.
  4. Layer the sauce mixture evenly on the bottom part of each bread piece.
  5. Place the top part of the bread on each, creating a sandwich-like boat.
  6. Wrap each bread boat in foil, then lay them on a cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until heated through.
  8. Serve hot.
