- Cook ground beef in a pan, then drain off the fat.
- Mix spaghetti sauce, mozzarella cheese, and mushroom bits with the cooked ground beef, then heat on low until the cheese has melted, stirring often.
- Unwrap the French bread, cut it into 4 parts, then cut each part sideways.
- Layer the sauce mixture evenly on the bottom part of each bread piece.
- Place the top part of the bread on each, creating a sandwich-like boat.
- Wrap each bread boat in foil, then lay them on a cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot.
