Ingredients

  • 1/2 head cabbage
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup raw rice
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 can tomato soup

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  2. Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet.
  3. Stir in raw rice, salt, and pepper into the meat mixture.
  4. Chop the cabbage into small pieces.
  5. Layer the chopped cabbage in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  6. Spread the meat mixture over the cabbage layer.
  7. In a small pan, beat together water, tomato soup, and barbecue sauce, then pour over the assembled casserole.
  8. Bake until cooked through and bubbly, approximately 60 minutes.
