Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes active dry yeast
  • 2 c. lukewarm water (110°)
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 5 c. flour (bread flour or natural bleached)

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle yeast in warm water; let stand until dissolved.
  2. Add sugar, olive oil, vegetable oil, and 2 1/2 cups of flour; beat well.
  3. Gradually add the remaining 2 1/2 cups of flour to form a soft dough.
  4. Turn out onto a floured board and knead until smooth and elastic, adding flour as needed.
  5. Place dough into a greased bowl.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 2 to 3 hours.
  7. Punch down the dough and let rise again.
  8. Divide the dough into 3 equal balls.
  9. Roll out each dough ball, adding enough flour to fit the pizza pan.
  10. Fold under the outer edges of the dough.
  11. Pierce holes in the dough with a fork.
  12. Bake in a preheated oven at 400° to 450° for 5 to 7 minutes.
  13. Once baked, add your favorite toppings and continue with your pizza recipe.
