- In separate pans, brown the hot sausage and ground beef.
- Drain meats in a colander, then on paper towels until completely drained.
- Cut Velveeta cheese into cubes.
- Combine the meats with the Velveeta in a pan and melt the cheese.
- Add basil, parsley, and oregano to the melted cheese mixture and blend well.
- Spread the cheese and meat mixture onto slices of rye bread.
- Place the prepared rye breads on a cookie sheet and freeze until set.
- Broil on the lowest rack of the oven until browned.
- Store any leftovers in Ziploc bags for later use.
