A delightful pocket sandwich filled with a sweet and savory ham spread, crunchy pecans, fresh green onions, and crisp lettuce, perfect for a quick, satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 4 1/2 oz. can Underwood deviled ham or honey ham spread
  • 1/4 cup pecan pieces
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onion
  • 3 pita pocket breads
  • shredded lettuce

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the drained crushed pineapple, deviled ham or honey ham spread, pecan pieces, mayonnaise, and sliced green onion.
  2. Refrigerate the mixture to chill for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Cut the pita pocket breads in half and open each pocket.
  4. Fill each pita pocket with the ham salad mixture and shredded lettuce.
  5. Serve immediately.
