- Make 4 beef patties from ground beef and season with salt.
- Peel carrots, potatoes, and onions.
- Slice onions and potatoes; cut carrots into 2 to 3-inch lengths.
- Place each beef patty on a large piece of aluminum foil, approximately 12 to 15 inches long.
- Put several slices of potatoes and onions, along with the carrots, on each beef patty.
- Fold the foil to enclose the ingredients, creating a pocket.
- Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
