Ingredients

  • 4 qt. water
  • 3/4 c. corn meal
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. water

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil.
  2. Add 3/4 cup of cornmeal and 2 teaspoons of salt into the boiling water, stirring constantly.
  3. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring frequently, until the polenta thickens and is tender, about 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in 3 tablespoons of butter and 1/8 teaspoon of pepper.
