Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. gelatin (plain)
  • 2 tsp. cold water
  • 3 Tbsp. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. ice water
  • 1/2 c. nonfat dry milk
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. oil

Instructions

  1. Chill a small mixing bowl.
  2. Soften gelatin with 2 teaspoons cold water, then add the boiling water, stirring, until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  3. Cool until tepid.
  4. Place ice water and nonfat dry milk in the chilled mixing bowl.
  5. Beat at high speed until the mixture forms stiff peaks.
  6. Add the sugar, still beating, then the oil and the gelatin.
  7. Place in freezer for about 15 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator until ready for use.
  8. Stir before using to retain a creamy mixture.
