Ingredients

  • 1 lb. skinless frozen haddock fillets
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • water
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Per pound of skinless frozen haddock fillets, use 2 tablespoons salt in cold water to cover in a large skillet.
  2. Bring the water to a gentle boil and cook the haddock for 10 minutes, then drain.
  3. Cover the fish again with cold water, adding 2 tablespoons vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon sugar.
  4. Bring to a boil and cook for another 10 minutes.
  5. Drain well; remove the fish to a hot platter.
  6. Serve immediately with melted butter.
