Popping Barbecups are savory mini pies combining seasoned ground beef with barbecue flavor, melted cheese, and flaky biscuits, perfect for casual gatherings or quick family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp minced onion
  • 12 tenderflake biscuits
  • 3/4 cup grated cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef.
  2. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  3. Add barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and minced onion to the beef and mix well. Set aside.
  4. Place one biscuit in each ungreased muffin cup, pressing the dough up the sides to form a cup.
  5. Spoon the meat mixture into each biscuit cup.
  6. Sprinkle grated cheese over the meat filling.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
