Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/4 cups oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons imitation butter flavoring
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seed

Instructions

  1. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans.
  2. Mix eggs, sugar, milk, and oil and beat well.
  3. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix well.
  5. Stir in almond extract, imitation butter flavoring, and poppy seed.
  6. Pour batter into prepared loaf pans.
  7. Bake at 325°F for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from pans immediately after baking and cool.
