Ingredients

  • 7 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 6 oz. stuffed olives (two 3 oz. bottles)

Instructions

  1. Cream together the grated Cheddar cheese and softened butter.
  2. Add salt, sifted all-purpose flour, and paprika; mix well until combined.
  3. Drain the stuffed olives thoroughly.
  4. Wrap 1 teaspoon of the cheese mixture around each olive to form a ball.
  5. Place the cheese-wrapped olives on a cookie sheet.
  6. Place the cookie sheet in the freezer until the cheese balls are frozen.
  7. Transfer the frozen cheese balls to a plastic bag and store in the freezer until ready to bake.
  8. When ready to serve, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  9. Place the desired number of cheese balls on a cookie sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
