Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean pork roast
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 qt. water
  • 2 lb. dry pinto beans
  • 2 cans chili blend or 2 packages dry chili blend

Instructions

  1. Cook pork roast and garlic in 3 quarts of water until the meat is tender and falls apart.
  2. While the meat is cooking, soak the dry pinto beans in enough water to cover them.
  3. Remove the cooked pork from the liquid and set aside.
  4. Add the soaked beans and chili blend to the cooking liquid.
  5. Cook until the beans are done.
  6. Add chopped pork during the last hour of cooking.
