Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 medium potatoes
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon minced dry onions
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup fine bread crumbs
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook potatoes until just firm; drain and cube.
  2. Combine sour cream, milk, and minced dry onions.
  3. Place half the potatoes in a buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  4. Cover with half the sour cream mixture; sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.
  5. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes and sour cream mixture.
  6. Melt butter and mix with bread crumbs.
  7. Sprinkle bread crumbs over the top.
  8. Cover and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
