Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 lb. chicken parts
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. dry sherry
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken parts and cook about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Add soy sauce, water, dry sherry, honey, minced garlic, and pepper to the pan.
  4. Cook over medium heat, turning the chicken every 15 minutes.
  5. Add more water if needed during cooking.
  6. Continue cooking for about 30 minutes or until the chicken is fork-tender.
