Ingredients

  • 1 turkey
  • 1 stalk celery, halved
  • 1 apple, quartered
  • 2 onions, quartered
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 2/3 cup water

Instructions

  1. Place the prepared turkey in a pressure canner.
  2. Add the celery, apple, onions, butter, salt, pepper, and water to the canner.
  3. Cook until the turkey is done, following your pressure canner's instructions.
  4. Remove the turkey from the canner and transfer it to a large baking pan.
  5. Broil carefully until the turkey is browned.
  6. Rub with butter or margarine during broiling if the meat appears to be drying out.
  7. Cover the breast with foil if it starts to burn.
