Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz.) can apple pie filling
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 3/4 cup walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  3. Combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda; sprinkle over the apple filling.
  4. In a bowl, beat eggs; then add vanilla and oil, mixing well.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the dry ingredients in the pan.
  6. Stir gently until just blended.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then frost with ready-made cream cheese frosting.
  9. Serve warm or unfrosted, optionally with ice cream.
