Light and fluffy puffball or quick tea doughnuts with a mildly sweet flavor, perfect for snacks or tea-time treats, suitable for all ages and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs, then add sugar and milk.
  2. Sift dry ingredients together and add to the liquid mixture.
  3. Beat thoroughly and then add melted fat (butter).
  4. Add more flour to make a stiff batter that can hold a spoon upright.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into deep fat heated to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Remove when golden brown and drain on absorbent paper towel.
