- Sift dry ingredients together and add to the liquid mixture.
- Beat thoroughly and then add melted fat (butter).
- Add more flour to make a stiff batter that can hold a spoon upright.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into deep fat heated to 375°F (190°C).
- Remove when golden brown and drain on absorbent paper towel.
