Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • choice of toppings

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Spoon 2 tablespoons of margarine into a 10-inch pie pan and place it in the oven to melt the margarine and heat the pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and beat until smooth.
  4. Carefully remove the hot pie pan from the oven and pour the batter into it.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges are deep brown and the pancake is puffy.
  6. Loosen the pancake with a knife or spatula and cut into wedges.
  7. Serve with toppings like butter, syrup, powdered sugar, jam, fruit, sautéed apples, shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, or cubed ham.
