Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2/3 cup salad oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 16 oz. can pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans.
  3. Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly: flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add remaining ingredients: salad oil, sugar, eggs, and pumpkin; mix just until blended.
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pans.
  6. Bake about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely.
