Ingredients

  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients, except nuts, in the top of a double boiler. Place over simmering water and stir until smooth.
  2. Add chopped almonds and mix well.
  3. Spread the candy quickly in a buttered 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  4. Allow to cool completely.
  5. Cut into squares and serve.
