Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large or 4 small bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  3. Cream butter and sugar together.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, then blend well.
  5. Stir in mashed bananas.
  6. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt, then stir into the wet ingredients.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
