Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 pounds round steak
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 slices lemon
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 or 2 large green peppers

Instructions

  1. Pound flour into the steak with a hammer or edge of a saucer.
  2. Brown the steak on both sides in shortening.
  3. Add water, minced garlic, tomato soup, and green pepper strips to the skillet.
  4. Cover and cook over low heat until the steak is tender, stirring often.
