Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. Brazil nuts
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans
  • 1 (7 1/4 oz.) pkg. pitted dates
  • 1 c. maraschino cherries
  • 3/4 c. sifted flour
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Put nuts, dates, and cherries in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt over the nuts and fruit.
  3. Mix with hands until the nuts and fruit are coated with the flour mixture.
  4. Beat eggs until foamy.
  5. Add vanilla and stir into the nut and fruit mixture.
  6. Turn the mixture into a well-greased bread pan.
  7. Spread and pack down the mixture.
  8. Bake in a 300°F oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until done.
