Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 c. sliced carrot
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 1/2 oz. jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 c. water

Instructions

  1. Cook ground chuck in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned, stirring until the meat crumbles.
  2. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Wipe pan drippings from the skillet with a paper towel.
  4. Return meat to the skillet; add sliced carrots, chopped onion, tomato sauce, and drained sliced mushrooms.
  5. Stir in water.
  6. Cover and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes or until the carrots are tender, stirring occasionally.
