Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chopped apple
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • dash of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg slowly for 1 minute; then add sugar and beat until smooth.
  2. Mix together the flour, chopped apple, chopped nuts, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Fold the dry ingredients into the egg and sugar mixture until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan.
  5. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve warm, ideally with vanilla ice cream.
