- Mix yeast and warm water and set aside in a warm place until foamy.
- Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, yeast mixture, and vanilla.
- Add half of the flour and the sour cream to the mixture.
- Continue adding the rest of the flour to form a soft dough.
- Roll out the dough immediately and spread with filling, then roll up.
- Place in well-greased pans and prick tops with a fork in several places.
- Cover and let rise for about 40 minutes or more.
- Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes; test for doneness and bake longer if necessary.
