Ingredients

  • 2 None eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 9 oz quark
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped hazelnuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
  • 4 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup ground pistachios

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Beat the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Gradually beat in the quark and 1 stick of the butter. Fold in the nuts, then the flour and baking powder. Knead with your hands to form a smooth dough. Shape into an oval and place on the baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 55-60 mins or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Melt remaining 1 stick butter. Brush over the stollen. Sprinkle thickly with the powdered sugar. Cool on a wire rack. Decorate with the ground pistachios.
