Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. nonfat dry milk
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. warm water (105~, 41~C)
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil or shortening
  • 5 to 6 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Stir together the yeast, dry milk, salt, and 3 cups of flour until well blended.
  2. Add the warm water, honey, egg, and oil to the mixture.
  3. Mix at medium speed for 3 minutes with an electric mixer.
  4. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough.
  5. Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes.
