Ingredients

  • 1 frozen bread dough loaf
  • 1 lb. bulk sausage
  • 1/4 lb. sliced hot pepper cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the bread dough following package instructions and let it rise.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  3. Brown the sausage in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  4. Roll the bread dough out on a floured surface until approximately 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the dough, leaving about 1/2 inch border.
  6. Lay sliced hot pepper cheese over the sausage if using.
  7. Roll the dough over the sausage and cheese to form a loaf that fits into a greased bread pan.
  8. Place the loaf in the greased pan and bake for 20 minutes or until the top is evenly browned.
  9. Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.
