Ingredients

  • yellow squash
  • salt
  • pepper
  • butter
  • sliced onions
  • sliced tomatoes
  • sliced green bell pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice a layer of yellow squash thin to cover the bottom of a Corning Ware dish.
  2. Add salt, pepper, and slices of butter on top of the squash layer.
  3. Add a layer of sliced onions on top of the buttered squash.
  4. Repeat the layers: squash, salt, pepper, and butter.
  5. Add a layer of sliced tomatoes, then repeat with salt, pepper, and butter.
  6. Add a layer of sliced green bell pepper, then repeat with salt, pepper, and butter.
  7. Bake in a 350°F oven until the vegetables are tender.
  8. Place slices of cheese on top and bake until the cheese melts.
