Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2 or 3 apples, peeled and grated
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and margarine; add beaten eggs.
  2. Stir in grated apples.
  3. Combine flour, salt, soda, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  4. Add dry ingredients to apple mixture and mix well.
  5. Pour into a lightly greased glass pie pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  7. Serve warm with whipped cream or sauce.
