Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 can fruit pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Put margarine in an 8 x 8-inch pan and place in the oven until melted.
  3. Mix sugar, flour, baking powder, and milk in a bowl.
  4. Pour the batter into the melted margarine in the pan, but do not stir.
  5. Spoon the fruit pie filling into the center of the batter and margarine.
  6. Do not stir or mix.
  7. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 1 hour.
