"Quickie" Fruit Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box Betty Crocker carrot cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup pitted dates
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages mixed candied fruit

Instructions

  1. Disregard instructions on cake package.
  2. Spray a Bundt pan with Pam and dust lightly with flour.
  3. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
  6. Serve with Cool Whip or whipped cream, if desired.
