Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • fruit

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder to form a batter.
  2. Melt 1 stick of butter in a 9 x 14 inch pan.
  3. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the pan.
  4. Do not stir or mix the batter with the butter.
  5. Choose your fruit (fresh or canned).
  6. If using fresh fruit, add sugar to taste and cook for 15 minutes slowly.
  7. Pour the fruit and juice (if canned, include the juice) on top of the batter and butter.
  8. Do not stir or mix after adding the fruit.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes until brown.
