Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. scalded milk, cooled
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Dissolve 1 package of yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
  2. Cut 4 cups flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and 2 sticks of oleo together to make coarse crumbs.
  3. Whisk 2 beaten eggs and yeast into the crumb mixture, then refrigerate overnight.
  4. Roll the dough out and pat it with a mixture of 1 cup brown sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
  5. Roll the dough into jelly‑roll fashion, then slice into cookies.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Frost the cookies as desired.
