Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 3/4 cups lukewarm milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large mixer bowl.
  2. Add lukewarm milk, salt, softened butter, sugar, and eggs to the bowl.
  3. Beat until smooth.
  4. Cover the bowl and let the batter rise in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Stir down the batter.
  6. Cover again and let rise for another hour or refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours.
  7. Stir down the batter again after refrigeration.
  8. Pour about 1/2 cup of batter from a cup or pitcher into the center of a hot waffle iron.
  9. Cook until golden brown and serve.
