Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp. oregano leaves
  • 1 Tbsp. cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. ground mustard
  • 2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • 3/4 tsp. sugar
  • salt to taste
  • dash of lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef, onions and green peppers. Add balance of ingredients.
  2. Simmer for 1 hour.
  3. Serves 6.
