Ingredients

  • 3 lb. round steak
  • 1/3 stick margarine
  • 1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large onion, cut into strips
  • 1/2 tsp. each: basil, oregano, garlic salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. cold water

Instructions

  1. Cut steak into 1/3 x 5-inch strips.
  2. Heat margarine in a large skillet and stir-fry steak strips until brown.
  3. Add onion. Sprinkle with seasoning and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Stir well and then add tomato juice.
  5. Simmer for 1 hour.
