Ray's Broccoli Gratin

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 2pounds bag of broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp parsley flakes
  • 1 tbsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp course ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Montreal chicken seasoning
  • 1 tbsp mesquite seasoning
  • 1 pinch paprika
  • 3 cup shredded cheese
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup diced purple onion
  • 2 cup panko

Instructions

  1. preheat oven to 375
  2. start by giving your broccoli a quick blanch in boiling salted water about 5minutes.
  3. turn off and drain add to casserole dish
  4. now to make your cheese sauce; add butter onions, garlic & all seasoning to a large pot.
  5. cook about 3 minutes add in flour it will turn lumpy cook down Bout 1 minute.
  6. Now you'll need a whisk add in milk, you'll keep whisking on med/high heat till it starts to thicken*at this point if its to thick you can add a little more milk* add in cheese whisking well turn off.
  7. Niw top your broccoli with cheese sauce.
  8. :panko add melted butter to panko, with cheese & seasonings.
  9. top casserole bake 20-25minutes till golden
