Instructions
- Wash beans and soak overnight or for 4 to 5 hours in cold water. Drain the water.
- Place beans in a pot and cover with cold water. Heat slowly.
- Add seasonings, ham or salt meat, chopped onion, and garlic to the pot. Bring to a boil.
- Simmer for at least 2 hours or until beans are tender.
- Add cooked dry rice to the bean mixture.
- Mix well and let steam for 10 minutes before serving.
