Ingredients

  • 6 cups red cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar or white wine
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seed

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Saute the chopped onion lightly in the melted butter.
  3. Add the brown sugar, vinegar or white wine, and caraway seed to the skillet and stir to combine.
  4. Add the shredded red cabbage, cover, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
