Red Leaf Lettuce Salad

Ingredients

  • 4 bunches red leaf lettuce
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1/3 c. cider vinegar
  • 1 c. salad oil
  • 1 Tbsp. poppy seed
  • 1 1/2 c. large cottage cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except lettuce, bacon and cottage cheese.
  2. Chill 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Tear lettuce.
  4. Pour on dressing and spread cottage cheese and bacon throughout.
