Instructions
- Combine 3/4 cup hot water with sugar, salt, and margarine; cool to lukewarm.
- Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water.
- Add yeast to water-sugar mixture; add beaten egg and 2 1/2 cups flour; beat until smooth.
- Add enough flour (about 2 3/4 cups) to make a soft dough.
- Turn out on a lightly floured board and knead until smooth and elastic.
- Place in a greased bowl and turn to grease the top.
- Cover tightly and refrigerate until doubled in bulk, about 4 to 5 days, or until needed.
